Planning Board Adopts Data Center Ban in Updated Master Plan

NJ CLARK — Clark Planning Board backs data center ban in master plan amendment. The board unanimously approved an amended master plan re-examination declaring data centers incompatible with all zoning districts, aligned with Ordinance 26-23 introduced in late July. Planning Board Attorney Kelly Carey explained that several zoning districts had previously permitted data centers, prompting the Council prohibition.
The board also approved three consistency resolutions affirming the amended plan's alignment with ordinances vacating a portion of Lakeside Boulevard and removing a waiver from the affordable housing code.
