Planning Board elects Koch as Chairman, memorializes two projects

NJ CLARK — Clark Planning Board elects Koch as Chairman in annual reorganization. The board unanimously appointed Vice Chairman Lance Steinberg, Secretary Donna Mazzucco, and professionals Alexander Fisher (attorney), Rich O'Connor (engineer), and Paul Ricci (planner). Site plans for Clark Broadway Associates (52 Westfield Avenue) and Supriya & Sumeet, LLC (175-181 Westfield Avenue) were memorialized 6-0 each.
The board approved a retroactive extension for Euro Time LLC's mixed-use project at 221-223 Westfield Avenue, featuring 3,300 square feet of commercial space and three residential units. During public comment, resident David Stebbins raised concerns about the Broadway project's neighborhood impact and tree loss; Koch noted that replacement trees must comply with Township ordinance, while acknowledging that zoning laws require increased density in certain districts.
